Hydromancer Builds
I need help finding a great pve Hydromancer build. Something effective and not messing around. Something just as great as a typical nuker or a fierce geomancer or better.

Double attuned Fast casting water is something I'll always recomend, but you will need a monk in your team. But since thats Me/E, I guess it doesn't count.

No offense but Wiki isn't exactly known for its accuracy of build-knowledge.
How about a GvG Water flagstand E/Mo?

what do you want out of the water build?
I find them handy and with water attunment, ice spear and water trident you can do alot of damage to a single target or you can snare and use things like blurred vision to give support to the whole party, but water isnt really a mass damage build. i know you can make them hand out some pretty big AoE spells ice spikes, deep freeze and frozen burst but the recharge isnt the best.

Now you tell us, here's one.
Ice Spear
Ice Spikes
Deep Freeze
Maelstorm
Ward Against Harm [Elite]
Water Attunement
Heal Party
Rebirth
There's room for improvement in there, so don't be afraid to change it. Just don't take out Ward Against Harm, it's a very useful defence vs Spark of the Titans.

heres my water build. tried and tested in AB.
Spiker
E/Me
Stats
Water 16 (12+hat+sup rune)
Energy Storage 13 (12 + minor)
Kit
not really important but an enchantment bonus is useful
Skills
Ice Spear
Vapor Blade
Ice Spikes
Deep Freeze
Arcane Echo
Blurred Vision
Elemental Attunement {E}
Water Attunement
Tactics
Ice spear is you spammable spell with decent damage. echo vapor blades.
ice spikes and deep freeze to snare anyone who gets too close or tries to run away. blurred vision gives you defense agaosnt warriors and assassins. you get the idea spike with the echo'd vapor blades and then harass teh hell out of them

Cryomancer
Elementalist/Ranger
Level: 20
Energy Storage: 5 (3+2)
Water Magic: 16 (12+4)
Wilderness Survival: 12
- Shatterstone [Elite] (Water Magic)
- Teinai's Prison (Water Magic)
- Freezing Gust (Water Magic)
- Frigid Armor (Water Magic)
- Serpent's Quickness (Wilderness Survival)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Water Attunement (Water Magic)
- Resurrection Signet ()
I like Shatterstone. This build is a really bad spiker with slowdown.

Exhaustion.
Hyprodimus Prime, if you want to "spike", why not take Vapor Blade as well, and possibly Glyph of Elemental Power? Like, for Troll Unguent and Frigid Armor.
I put this in quotation marks, because you'd obviously play a weapon class if you really wanted to spike.

Damage-wise, I find water isn't as efficient as other elements in terms of damage done per energy spent. I presume by nuking you want damage. After the buff of Shatterstone though, it is very decent. But compared to Searing Flames? No AoE effect and no burning and no Glowing Gaze.

Water (and Air for that matter) could do with an E-mangement skill like Glowing Gaze or Glowstone. All the water spells are just so expensive. No matter how high the damage 'numbers' are, your always still subject to the energy ceiling, and reach it far sooner than if you ran another element.
When I use water and run a Shatterstone Combo, (Freezing Gust is a nice and cheap alternative to Vapor) or Trident, I always end up missing Second Wind...

Nope, Nukers are still best - you just need a ranger with winter or to bring winter yourself.

If you know how to switch weapon sets Ether Prism is quite nice.
